PROTECT FLUSHING

Protect Flushing is a group of youth activists fighting against the Flushing Waterfront Rezoning. Through outreach, community education, and advocacy, we hope to amplify the voices of those affected by the proposed policy. Our mission is to bring awareness to and prevent the Flushing Waterfront Rezoning plan from being passed.

LOCAL BUSINESSES

Flushing is known for it local businesses and thriving culture. Protect Flushing youth interviewed several businesses that would be impacted by the rezoning effort in order to emphasize the effects of this policy.

OUR SOCIAL MEDIA

@protectflushing has been providing local organizations and community members with information vital to understanding what we are fighting for. Through our instagram page, we are able to connect to local youth, volunteers, and organizers.

OUR LETTER!

Protect Flushing Youth wrote a letter directed to the Union Federation of Teachers (UFT) in order to emphasize the need for solidarity and support. Listed in the letter are our concerns and how we hope they are amplified.
